The WreckerThe Wrecker is a giant sea creature that can change its appearance to mimic a lighthouse on a cliff or an island. It rarely hunts sailing ships, and rather prefers setting bait and waiting for a shipwreck, which it will feed upon. It selects a spot, blends with the surroundings and just waits for long periods of time until a ship passes by. Sailors use known landmarks and lighthouses as reference for navigating, creating confusion among the crew, who look for references in the navigation charts to set course and avoid crashing on the shores. But if The Wrecker places itself in an unexpected zone, it can disorient sailors and cause an accident. The Wrecker also chooses places with currents that benefit the hunt, so one a vessel enters the Mimic's trapped area, it's almost impossible to maneuver and escape. The beast can also swallow tons of water per minute to bring the ship closer if it's not too large. So next time you see a lighthouse while sailing the seas, make sure it's a real and safe landmark. The BattlemapEvery variation has 3 phases: The Wrecker hidden underwater, barely visible at the surface, and fully out of the water. Use the variations as you need, as a real Lighthouse Battlemap, or as a phased encounter to surprise your players. We hope you have a great start to the new year. See you soon with a year full of amazing new releases. Enjoy! DownloadsScribe Tier Explorer Tier Cartographer Tier Variations | |
