Cover showing stylised gold foil Machine Gun Corps cap badge. Purple flower and 'One King, One Flag, One Empire' over crown and Union Flag.

Purple string holding inner paper against outer card. Inside text:

Christmas, 1917.

Like the others we are doing

Ev'ry day our little bit

Teaching Fritzie better manners

And persuading him to "git,"

With a hustle of the slickest

(For he's eucher'd in the fight)

Back to his play'd-out Fatherland

Or - into the Ewigkeit

Yet still despite of war and all

This Christmastime I'm sending

My greetings that with mem'ries fond

Of you and home are blending,

And with the news that all is well.

And you may bet this stunt

Will end by making us top dog

And leave no huns to hunt.
