Microsoft job cuts: The software maker is planning to eliminate thousands of jobs, particularly in sales, beginning next month. The reductions follow an earlier round of cuts announced in May that hit 6,000 employees.

Amazon relocations: Amazon is ordering some corporate employees to move to one of several hubs or lose their jobs. The move adds to anxieties for company employees already worried about workforce reductions and warnings that AI will replace them.

Alibaba data center: The company will open a second data center in South Korea by the end of June, accelerating its multibillion-dollar bet on artificial intelligence and cloud computing. The new facility is part of a $52.9 billion investment in AI and cloud infrastructure announced earlier this year.

Eutelsat is raising €1.35 billion ($1.5 billion) from the French government and other investors in a deal that will help the European company build out its fleet of satellites as an alternative to Elon Musk's Starlink. The fundraising effort comes after the company struck a 10-year deal with the French government to provide satellite service for the country's military.
