Dear Travel Fan, In 2020, we put Egypt on our 52 Places to Go list in anticipation of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, which was already more than a decade behind schedule. That proved to be optimistic, but the museum has finally — at least mostly — opened and this week we have a stunning photo essay about the new building and its collection. We also travel to a place that calls itself "the end of the world," with good reason. Ushuaia, Argentina, is at the tip of Tierra del Fuego and is the most popular departure point for Antarctic cruises. But the growing popularity of those cruises is squeezing locals and stressing the environment. Earth Day is coming up next week and in advance we have some suggestions for getting out and enjoying nature: The island of Majorca is known as a party spot, but it has great options for hiking, biking and trail running. And the Delaware River is the longest undammed river in the Eastern United States and though it runs through some of the country's most-populous states, paddling it can feel like you're in the wilderness. We love to save you money, and this week our Travel 101 tells you how to haggle when you're visiting a place where prices aren't fixed (both sides of the transaction should end up happy). And our Frugal Traveler tests whether she can stay on a budget in London, a notoriously pricey city. The actress Olivia Munn, who is currently starring with Jon Hamm in the Apple TV+ series "Your Friends & Neighbors," spent part of her childhood in Tokyo. She shared her 5 Favorite Places in that city with us. And we recently gave you a sneak preview of the new Epic Universe at the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. This week, our 36 Hours offers a non-theme park weekend in Orlando. You can use it's suggestions even if your trip includes some rides. Wishing you safe and happy travels,
